Firm/hard swollen occipital lymph node around a 1/2 inch in size with no other symptoms. may be slightly tender when pushed. should i be worried?

Lumps: Could be many things - sebaceous cyst, infected lymph node - which are usually benign. With all lumps however, it is always best to let your doctor review it and if need be, monitor it for a few months to ensure it is nothing. Serious lumps may need biopsy and referral. Lumps are always a do-not-ignore item on our lists :)
