Knee Trauma: After knee trauma a fracture may occur depending upon the speed, energy, and mechanism of the injury, the underlying strength of the bone, etc. Ability to bear weight with minimal pain may rule out a major fracture, however plain radiographs are the best way to look for a fracture in addition to a standard exam.
