I have whooshing sounds in my left ear, any idea what it could be?

Vascular "whoosh": If this is persistent and especially if it varies with the heart rate, then you might have some sort of vascular problem in or near your left ear. If it is transient and now no longer there, then don't worry. But if still present, see an ENT doctor for evaluation.
