A member asked:

Sharp pain starting in my left bicep. radiating down the arm. the pain is on the out side of the bicep. random pain. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bicep pain: Unless it's an injury, subdeltoid bursitis or tendonitis is a common cause of this type of pain. Increased shoulder pain on elevating the arm sideways away from the torso and associated tenderness of the shoulder are characteristic. Tendonitis responds to hot and cold applications, rubbing liniment and taking anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen or Aleve for a week or so. See MD as needed.
