Medical checkup need: You may have infection of the urinary bladder(also called Cystitis). If it hurts to urinate or you are going to the rest room more frequently than normal. you have infection which will likely require a visit to the ER for antibiotics( call your PCP if you have doctor of your own). Take a couple of Tylenol Tablets(Paracetamol). This will relieve the pain but you need to take it 6 hrly(3 x day).
