Not much: In young children particularly less than 6 we don't like to do a lot of over the counter meds as they can have significant reaction. If your child has fever or trouble breathing would need seen. Make sure child remains well hydrated.

Nutrition/fluids: The best care for these problems is a focus on fluid intake and simple nutrition. As long as they take in enough to pee every 6-8 hrs they are adequately hydrated.Foods that are lower in fat are more easily digested. Fever meds can be used if high but are not required as fever actually helps speed self healing factors. Over the counter meds would give you something to do but are really not helpful
