Probably not: There are many failsafe mechanisms on x-ray machines. If it shut down no radiation should have been produced. You most likely did not have any excess exposure. If you are concerned it would be reasonable to go talk to your dentist about what happened.

Hello! I did an x-ray of the head for the orthodontist. The nurse put the auto mode with smallest radiation: 8 mGy*cm2. However, when the exam was over, the machine showed 17 mGy*cm2. Why did it change? how many mSv did I get? Thank you so much?
