Possible: Even though unusual, patients with leukemia may have a relatively normal cbc, especially in the early stages. Traditionally however, the CBC in a patient with leukemia usually demonstrates leukocytosis (high wbc) accompanied by variable anemia (low rbc and hemoglobin) and thrombocytopenia (low platelets).
