A member asked:

If you have leukemia does your blood levels go back and forth being normal and abnormal or are they always abnormal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

That is a complex qu: Leukemia, being a cance rof the blood cells does affect the normal blood cells in more than one ways. If the leukemia is untreated or progressing, the normal cells decrease whereas the blood can be back to normal once leukemia is under control(called complete remission). But it is a complex issue effected by, the type of leukemia (there are 4 types) and the treatment type being used to control leu.
