Does steaming veggies kill listeria? ate a few bites at restaurants that was fresh but cold had been steamed

Likely: Water boils at 100 C and heat resistance of listeria has been shown in lab studies to reach 59 c . If the steaming process was thorough it would have killed this & other microbes.
