PCOS: is most likely caused by insulin resistance. Not all features of PCOS are present in every patient with PCOS. Consider asking for further testing such as glucose insulin ratios, on a 3 Hr glucose tolerance test, looking for insulin resistance. Treating improves ovulation function, and helps medications like clomid to induce ovulation.
