How do i know if i have an autism spectrum disorder? my psychiatrist says i dont but im not so sure. for one thing i have ocd & maybe its comorbid?

ASD: Autism is a composite of features: speech delay, compulsive or other behaviors that are ritualistic, and social skill impairments. OCD can occur with this too, but can stand alone as a diagnosis: ritualistic repetitive behaviors that need to be performed. Best to have the psychiatrist sort these behaviors out.

Thought disorder: Please speak w/your psychiatrist about getting a second opinion. One possibility is seeing a neuropsychologist who can do testing to help you and your psychiatrist have additional information. Peace and good health.

Agree with Dr. F: In addition to the issues addressed by other doctors, you ought to give regular exercise a try, It may three months to see positive effects. Do any exercise that you like or can tolerate. Exercise about 30 minutes each, better do it first thing in the morning. Have a healthy diet, exercise, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, .
