Is it safe to chew ,or split, meloxicam 15 mg tablets? i have a hard time swallowing medicine.

No splitting tabs: Splitting tablets rarely gets 2 equal sides, moreover, the powder forming the tab may not be uniform on both sides. There is a 7.5mg tab which may be smaller. Better would be to rub butter or margarine on the tab before swallowing or eat a cracker, then swallow the pill with that ‘bolus’. Chewing may be harmful.
