A member asked:

Cervical check 32 weeks pregnant. have yeast infection. could this manual check make yeast infection worse or enter cervix? dr put fingers in cervix

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yeast, doesn't tend : to spread this way, should not be a problem for the pregnancy. Other infections, bacterial and viral are more of risk to pregnancy, but not from the exam. The exam is needed to check for preterm labor, cervical changes.
