Post Etraction Pain: Good day; Hard to offer specific advice without examining you. Maybe adjacent tooth, or remaining spicule of residual bone in extraction site. But without delay contact the dentist who preformed the extraction and he should be able to improve your comfort level.

Please see dentist: Pain can be cause by many different factors, including a dry socket. This is best diagnosed and treated by the dentist who extracted the tooth.

Post surgery: Pain/swelling should begin easing off after 48-72 hours. If it does not, of If pain increases, if there is bad taste or smell, return to your treating Dentist for a post-Surgical evaluation. It's part of your overall surgical care.
