Every time i am indoors, particularly my home, my throat itches and my tongue mildly swells. spt + for dust mites. is this normal? possibly deadly?

Not deadly: but sounds like environmental allergies. You must see an allergist for testing and placed on both oral antihistamines, possibly a short course of prednisone and nasal cortisone. I suggest that until you are seen and examined/tested use Benadrll or Zyrtec and wither Nasonex or NasaCort ( both OTC).
