A member asked:

What should be done with ct-stonogram finding? there is a small left inguinal hernia with protruding mesenteric fat." thank you.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hernia: If you have an inguinal hernia particularly if you have pain in the region you are likely to need surgery. It is currently not at emergency but typically progresses over time at which point you are at risk of bowel getting trapped in the hernia. If this happens it may become a surgical emergency. Best to have a prompt surgical evaluation and avoid complications.
