I have been diagnosed with colitis from food poisoning. how long do colitis symptoms generally last?

Colitis: This really depends on what medication is being used for the treatment - like antibiotics etc... - if there is a god response to medication then expect symptoms to last from 3-5 days in the acute phase but your bowels may not get back to normal for about 7 days or so.
