Neurosurgeon: The combination of low back pain and leg numbness may be caused by a bulging or herniated intervertebral disc at the lower spine. Joint stiffness may not be related. I recommend consulting a neurologist or neurosurgeon for evaluation and advice. An MRI of the lower spine will most likely be ordered.
