Sinusitis : Most pain in or around an eye is from sinusitis or headache. Pain reliever and decongestant should relieve it. If not, or if it is getting worse, go see your doctor. It could also be due to an eye problem such an inflammation in (called uveitis) or around the eye. You need to see an eye doctor to really rule this out.

Depends: Sharp pain behind the eyes can be due to many issues: most common is dry eye. Much less common causes: headache, migraine.Infection, inflammation, sinusitis, tumor.
