Get a checkup: There are many causes of pain and discomfort in and around the eyes. Generally, less serious condidtions tend to cause less and shorter amount of pain. If the discomfort persists, you should see either your primary physician or eye doctor. They can rule out any serious conditions that can lead to your condition.
