Depends on the cut: Scalp lacerations that are more than 1-1.5 cm may need to be closed with stitches or staples. Use compresses to stop bleeding and then assess size of injury. Alternatively, if the impact caused dizziness or confusion or severe headache, an assessment of a concussion is indicated.
