Likely the cause: Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) is increased fluid pressure in the brain mimicking the effects of a tumor "Pseudotumor Cerebri". The venous sinuses drain blood from the brain. A stenosis (narrowing) of the sigmoid and transverse sinuses can interfere with free flow & blood backs up. Placing sinus stents in IIH patients with stenosis alleviates symptoms in about 50% who undergo procedure
