A member asked:

My 3 year old has some rash on his face like whitish patches. can i use dovate ointment on his face?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I wouldn't: The active ingredient of this ointment is a high potency steroid that should NEVER be used on the face unless under direct physician care & then only on specific skin issues. The whitish patches may be a condition that needs no treatment or needs a sun barrier treatment instead. Skin issues on the face should be properly evaluated before trying a treatment.
