A member asked:

Can bactrim cause bubbly urine? looks almost foamy. occasional bubbles before bactrim, but looks more foamy after taking bactrim .any remedy to this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bubbles: in the urine are caused by protein in the urine (proteinuria). This can be caused by infection, certain metabolic conditions, and certain medications, including Bactrim. You may want to consider seeing your doctor to have your proteinuria worked up to ascertain the cause. Hope this helps!
