Impossible to answer: You have told us absolutely NOTHING about your health or why you doc suggested this. Do you really think that a doctor half way across the world who knows absolutely nothing about you and your health would know more about if this is necessary than your own doctor? Ask your doctor why he suggests this if you haven't. Or ask another Doc who knows your history and situation.
