A member asked:

Does having intercourse have an effect on hormones? also, can intercourse prevent or remove uterine polyps?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes and No: Intercourse affects many hormones, including endorphins that make you feel good. The exercise associated with the act also promotes healthful hormones. Sex hormones and oxytocin are obviously affected and promote bonding. However sex does not affect polyps. Have a healthy diet, exercise, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, and get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health!
