Otitis externa: Such infections of the ear may be caused by bacteria and or fungus and accordingly ear drops containing antifungal as well as antibacterial medication are usually used to treat such cases. Oral cipro may not be sufficient in these cases of otitis externa with heavy foul smelling discharge.
