Hi there. my left big toe starting feeling numb yesterday, but thereafter got swollen and is incredibly painful. anti inflammatory meds arent working. i dont recall hitting it and i dont recall anything that should have provoked it?

See PCP: Physician has to visualize this. You may need to check your uric acid level and or check urine for uric acid crystals. Sometimes if there is local fluctuant swelling aspiration of fluid and analysis and culture will help
