How long does it take for atelectasis to go away. had only in one lung week ago and ct today showed in both lungs now ?

Varies: Atelectasis is when some of your alveoli don’t fill with air. Depending on the cause, atelectasis can involve either small or large portions of your lung. The symptoms of atelectasis range from nonexistent to very serious, which depends on how much of your lung is affected and how fast it develops. You therefore need to remain under medical treatment for as long as this condition is present.
