What they: are calling dependent changes are usually normal and simply related to the effect of gravity on your lungs when you lay on your back. "Air trapping" relates to retention of excess air in the lungs or parts of the lungs. The CT findings of air trapping can be seen in normal individuals, but also in asthma, chronic bronchitis, and other entities, so talk to your doc about the results.
