I was pushed in to or for an outpatient surgery with 1 iv line and out with 2 iv lines. my anesthesiologist gave me many ghirardellis caramel milk chocolates & ask me to eat all as soon as i woke up without ever explaining reason for adding 2nd iv?

2nd IV: Sometimes is routine during general anesthesia, as one might get blocked or fail, so another would be available, doesn't denote anything in particular, best wishes
