Different: Magnesium citrate is different than milk of magnsesia. Look for citrate in a colored glass bottle usually. Ask the pharmacist if you cannot find it. It is a clear liquid and will cause BM fairly soon after you ingest it so I advise to take it at home. Milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) will also cause a bowel movement but not as rapidly.
