Gastroenteritis. : Gastroenteritis. Anyone else in the neighbourhood or family with this problem? It is from contaminated food and drink or contact with other infected people. Although the outlook is usually good in healthy young nine year olds give her plenty to drink, fruit juice, water, not fizzy drinks and if there is anything at all about her that troubles you take her at once to the nearest Emergency Room.
