My mum has a 6cm mass in rectum. does this mean cancer? waiting to see specialist. severe pain but er doctor sent her home with pain relief.

Can't tell: Although cancer is a probable problem one cannot tell for sure until a biopsy has been obtained. The ER doctor is not equipped to do the biopsy.
