See doc if >10 days: Theoretically, this may be due to improvement in the airway cilia which are finally moving the sputum out of your lung when there is no longer tobacco exposure. However you may also contact a viral bronchitis. If not better after 10 days or getting worse after progressively worse (esp if you have a fever>102), you should consult your doctor.
