I have had shoulder pain for last three weeks. it was more intense in the beginning, but it continues to bother me. how long should i wait before seeing a doctor? i do use heat pad, but it doesnt seem to help. what else can i do?

See below: There are many causes, but the most common are an injury or irritation to the rotator cuff muscles/tendons, arthritis in the shoulder joint, or a pinched nerve in your neck. See your physician for a complete work up.

Ok to give 6 wks: Most strains/sprains resolve by 6 wks. If no fever and all symptoms improving,b careful not to lose any range of motion, u can wait. C PCP if persists after that.
