A member asked:

What can cause my fsh to be elevated to 24 and lh normal at 7? other hormones tested and normal. blood draw was on day 3 of cycle. also early periods

A doctor has provided 1 answer

FSH level at 39: FSH may be high b/c your ovaries require more stimulation to produce an egg (ovulate). That "stimulation" may have caused ovulation to occur and your LH level may reflect that. Periods after 35 are frequently irregular, but ovulation and regular cycles will often occur after this kind of episode. High FSH may make you ovulate at day 8 or 9, so your period will be at day 23-24.
