Wet cough: With a productive cough you must expectorate and clear your bronchial tubes as well as you can. If the sputum is discolored, if you have fever, chest pain on a deep breath, wheezing or shortness of breath, you should be examined by a physician. Chest xray and antibiotics may be then recommended.
