Bartholin's cyst: Infected Bartholin's gland (abscess) can recur. If the cyst was just "drained" and not removed, it is easier to become infected again. The clitoral hood is not going to be affected by a Bartholin's cyst, but general tenderness may indicate a vaginal infection, so see your gyn provider for an exam and testing.
