A 40-year-old female asked:
What is a normal ejection fraction for 40 years old ladies ? what can be done to improve it?
1 doctor answer • 3 doctors weighed in
Cardiology 9 years experience
Ejection fraction: Generally, normal EF would be 50-75%, Normal EF doesn’t vary between men and women or based on age. If your EF is in the normal range, you can’t do anything and actually don’t want to “improve” it. If it is abnormal then improving it depends on the reason it is low which can be one of many. Hope that helps!
