Taking on the Past: It sounds like you may be wanting to deal with a past situation (vice specific symptoms or conditions). If that is the case, consider evaluation by a psychologist, a clinical social worker or other credentialled therapist. Any one of those professionals would likely know if a psychiatric referral were needed. It takes courage to take on past pain. Take care.
