I have a massive pain on my left side.. was at the doctor 2 weeks ago, he said i injured my ribs... the pain is much worse today. should i go to e.r?

Massive sounds bad: A person with pain at the chest, rib cage, or left shoulder can see his doctor to be evaluated. Pains can come from a heart problem (serious!), neck and shoulder muscles, the ribs and their joints, the lungs inside the chest, etc... If one feels his pain is coming from the heart, has a chest tightness, some difficulty breathing, or has past heart disease, he can go to the ER by ambulance.
