A member asked:

In my ct angiogram it showed i have minor dependent atetlectosis. and the circulation is left dominant. what does that mea?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Details below: Lung is like a wet sponge. Water accumulates at bottom of lung and tissue is therefore a little harder to aerate. Sometimes parts of the lung will "collapse" under the weight of fluid when you aren't "stretching" lung with deep breathing. This can be seen on XR and is not unusual. Left dominance means that your Left lung arteries are larger than Right.
