Pericarditis in july. now feels like same but ct angiogram w contrast had no evidence of pericarditis. does pericarditis always show on ct?

No: If there is no fluid and the inflamation is mild, the ct scan will be normal.

No: The ct scan is used to identify a pericardial effusion or pericardial thickening. Ct scan findings regarding pericarditis are very non- specific. An echocardiogram would be more useful, since it also shows function.
