Worth a visit: With this history and pattern of symptoms I suggest you see a gastroenterologist. You likely need to have your swallow tube examined from top to bottom with a scope to look for damage. Proper healing is probably possible but the GI docs will need to know how extensive the damage is to devise a treatment plan.
