Some basics: CPX sores tend to come out in waves of 20-50 until the person has had 250-500 total over 6-7 days. The skin sores are shallow & can sometimes become infected by simple skin germs. Keeping them clean with simple water rinse to remove the sweat that triggers itching helps. I avoid calamine (too drying). It gets worse until it begins to fade. Adults who get pneumonia are the ones at true risk.
