Hi, i'm 27 years old. i have chickenpox since monday. i went to the dr on tuesday and i was given calamine lotion, stillpane, diclofenac, austell cetirizine and moxypen -500. yesterday i bought poxclin coolmousse at dischem but i'm getting worse?

Some basics: CPX sores tend to come out in waves of 20-50 until the person has had 250-500 total over 6-7 days. The skin sores are shallow & can sometimes become infected by simple skin germs. Keeping them clean with simple water rinse to remove the sweat that triggers itching helps. I avoid calamine (too drying). It gets worse until it begins to fade. Adults who get pneumonia are the ones at true risk.
