Flu testing: She needs to see a doctor for flu testing. If flu is confirmed then treatment should be initiated for the flu. If not flu and turned out to be cold then she can use otc medication for cold.

Flu testing: If it is Influenza season where you live then hopefully she has been vaccinated. Flu vaccine is highly recommended for pregnant women and those around her. She should be tested for influenza. If the test is positive then prescription antivirals should be taken. If negative then over the counter cold and flu remedies may be useful.
