No sugars, few carbs: If the goal is to lose weight, one should reduce his calorie intake. Choose healthy foods and roughly count your calories. Make sure to watch what you're drinking too (no soda, alcohol, etc.). Exercise several times a week. You need to burn more calories than you consume. There are several app's that will track the information for you. Beyond that, you can consult your physician for other options.
