Not likely : Not likely for you to contract rabies from your dog unless the dog had symptoms and tested positive. We may have to shoot you like Old Yeller.

You're safe: As long as your dog has had all of his shots your chance of rabies is practically Jill. Check w your PCP, howver, to make sure your tetanus inoculation is up to date.
